Coach Eanes was a head basketball coach for a combined total of 23 years at Sycamore High School, Quitman High School, Brooks County High School and Stockbridge High School. His overall coaching record was 523 wins and 201 loses as his squads won two state championships, two runners-up titles and 11 region championships.
Additionally, Eanes was a 25-year veteran of the highly acclaimed Norman Carter Basketball School.
Eanes’ love of the game and his longevity have influenced players and coaches throughout the state of Georgia.
As a collegian, Eanes played basketball in the late 1940s at Georgia Teachers College, which later would become Georgia Southern University.
Harold Lee Scott, for whom the Screven County High School gymnasium is named, was inducted into the hall in 2005.
