Become an athletic booster today

The annual Screven County Athletic Booster Club membership drive has begun.
The club’s meetings are the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Films from the previous Friday night football games are shown every Monday at 7 p.m. All meetings/films viewings are in the high school health room, which is past the weight room.
Members also are invited on Fridays of football home games at noon at R&D’s Restaurant to have lunch with the fall season athletes of cheerleading, softball, cross country and football.
The boosters will only meet for home football games this year.
Existing members need to have their applications in by July 31 to reserve their same seats they had last year. On Aug. 3, Rooster, Super Duper, and Super members have a chance to change seating.
On Aug. 6, Century and Big Red members have the chance to swap for unclaimed seats.
Aug. 10 is the first day for new members to select their seats.
Booster club president Darlene Anthony has the seating chart available for review.
Anthony said the club’s goals include expanding the membership, providing more funds and services to the athletic department, and serving the members of the club as effectively as possible.
“It is your continued support that has played an important role in the quality and success of the athletic programs in Screven County,” Anthony said in a letter that went out to boosters and potential boosters. “Our student-athletes have brought much excitement and entertainment to each one of us. I along with the officers take pride in the fact that our community funds and supports our athletic department to ensure our coaches and student-athletes have the proper equipment and funds that makes us a success.”
The season football ticket is $30, while the All-Sports ticket is $70.
Booster contributor levels are Big Red $50-$99; Century $100-$199; Super $200-$499; Super Duper $500-$999; and Rooster $1,000 and up.
Other notes of interest about the club includes –
* members will tailgate before each home football game starting with the first regular season game. The group will eat at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Fridays. The meat will be provided, but people are asked to bring a covered dish.
* members will no longer have parking decals to get into booster parking as they will only need to show their ticket.
* those interested in being members are urged to mail their applications back as soon as possible so the club can better serve its membership.
* club will continue to have booster luncheons only for home games at R&D’s. It is Dutch treat.
Season tickets are for regular season home games, excluding postseason playoffs.
All-Sports tickets are the best buy because they are your ticket into any regular high school (varsity and junior varsity) or middle school sporting event. At the high school athletic complex, there may be up to four events in one afternoon and there will be an admission charge for each separate event, but an All-Sports ticket will admit you to all of the events.
