Please join me for blessing, dedication

As the chief of staff at the Friends of Screven County Animals’ Haven at 632 W. Ogeechee St., I would like to invite everyone to make plans to join us on Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Haven.
At 10 a.m., the Haven will be dedicated, followed by a Blessing of the Pets at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Carol Morgan of the First United Methodist Church of Newington.
I encourage everyone to bring your four-legged friends so they can participate in the Blessing of the Pets. Beginning at noon, there will be lots of fun activities such as Barks and Crafts, a dunking booth, a magician and free hot dogs.
In addition to the fun activities for the entire family, there also will be a pet-related information booth. FoSCA has a number of dogs, cats, kittens and puppies that are currently at the Haven looking for their forever homes.
I encourage you to stop by on Saturday and spend some time visiting with our animals.
Last of all, I would like to invite everyone to stop by and meet me. I’m the cat who’s running for a seat on the Screven County commission. I would love the opportunity to meet each of you and tell you all about the Friends of the Screven County Animals. A $1 vote for me goes to help homeless pets and helps me in my effort to gather more votes than the humans in the “real” election on Nov. 2.
Just look at what a difference this group has made in my life. Remember “Beau Knows” and the FoSCA Haven is where you’ll want to be on Saturday!
