Beau, the cat running for Screven County commission, is slated to appear on WTOC’s Mid-Morning Live on Wednesday, July 21.Dale Reddick, the campaign manager for the black-and white cat that lives at the shelter run by Friends of Screven County Animals, is excited about the interview that’s scheduled the morning after the July 20 primary.
Although county commissioners are elected to specific districts, Beau is running at-large so he can get votes from everyone in the county. One dollar donated to the non-profit group buys one vote for Beau. His goal is to collect more votes than the people in the “real” election.
He, no doubt, will comment in the interview about any write-in votes he may or may not receive in the human election the night before. The TV show starts at 10 a.m. and lasts one-half hour.
