Rivers Alive is a volunteer cleanup that targets waterways in Georgia including streams, rivers, lakes, beaches, and wetlands. The mission of Rivers Alive is to create awareness and involvement in the preservation of Georgia’s water resources.
Free T-shirts will be handed out to the first 100 volunteers to arrive (pending receipt of goods).
From Brannens Bridges, tour guides will direct you to a cleanup site.
Once people have collected the trash and recycled items, you can drop it off at Brannens Bridges. There will be refreshments such as hotdogs, chips and drinks served at noon. There also will be drawings.
Everyone is invited to participate including non-profit organizations, corporations, community and civic groups, school groups, faith-based groups, individuals, and governmental agencies. Also, we need for kayakers, boaters and canoeists to come and help along the river banks in areas that we may not be able to reach.
