Driver of logging truck dies from crash

A man has died after the Mack truck he was driving crashed on Highway 301 Monday.
Daniel Albert Davis, 38, of Sandersville, Ga., was traveling south near the mile 9 marker when his vehicle traveled onto the shoulder of the road and hit two metal posts and overturned. He was partially ejected from the vehicle and passed away en route to Savannah Memorial Hospital. Davis was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The truck he was driving at the time was a log truck owned by Williamson Investments, Inc. out of Davisboro, Ga. The truck was a 2007 model, and there were no other occupants in the truck at the time, and there were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
