Help Finish the Fight against cancer

The time has arrived for the teams to take the field in the Screven County Relay For Life “Sports for a CURE …” event.
The Relay event will be gin Friday at 6 p.m. as teams representing their favorite sports teams continue to raise money in their efforts to help find a cure for cancer.
The event again will be held at Cail Field off Millen Road in Sylvania.
“If you’re ever been touched by caner yourself, your family, a friend or a co-worker, please come out and join us at Relay and help us score a win against cancer,” said Dale Reddick, who is this year’s Relay chairperson.
The theme this year allows teams to select a sport and a team which can be a professional or college.
Once they make their selections and pay the initial $100, the teams try to raise as much as they.
While Friday and intos Saturday is the big event, The Grand Ole Opry will be May 17 at 7 p.m. at Thompson Strickland Waters Funeral Home.
The Relay for Life Praise Sing was April 27 at the First United Methodist Church of Sylvania’s Social Hall. Music will be brought to all by The Five Smooth Stones from Millen; A Few Good Men from Sylvania, The Farmdale Five from Sylvania, Jordan Zeigler, Matt Dylan Thompson and Keisha Anderson.
