Westview’s upgrade complete

Westview Apartments I and II have been renovated from the ground up, literally, by approximately $1,905,000 in construction upgrades by Boyd Management Inc.
The floor-to-roof upgrade has been a long time coming, said Babbie Jaco of WWJ, LLC (the company that owns Boyd Management).
The entire property was brought up to full ADA compliance including grab bars in all bathrooms, a remodeling of the kitchen – new sinks, countertops, wood cabinets, and appliances – all new equipment for heating and air, onsite amenities like a gazebo and grills, concrete parking lot fixes, energy efficient windows, all light fixtures replaced with more modern décor, carpet and faux hardwood planks, all new interior paint schemes, and fully upgraded smoke detectors and new ground fault interrupters were installed by Flourney Construction Company based out of Columbus, Ga.
Site Manager Cathy Strickland said the tenants were enjoying cheaper bills, updated appliances, and other amenities provided in the property’s rehabilitation.
The grand re-opening of Westview occurred April 17 after all units had been finished. They held their ribbon cutting ceremony for the Screven County Chamber of Commerce the same day.
WWJ, LLC closed on a $117 million multifamily transaction on July 25, 2013 and got to work renovated 44 affordable housing properties across Georgia.
