Informative June 25 meeting to provide resources for families in need

Informational assistance is available for Screven Countians whose wages have been cut during these woeful economic times.

A free and open to the public community support awareness meeting will be “lending a helping hand” with information and resources for struggling families June 25 at the CailCommunity Center at 6:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the

United Way
of ScrevenCounty.

Scheduled to be in attendance is representatives from the CSRA-CentralSavannah RiverAreaRegionalDevelopmentCenter, Community Action, Crisis Fund, Department of Labor, Grace Bible Baptist Church Food Pantry, OgeecheeTechnicalCollege, OneStopCareerCenter, Right from the Start Medicaid, St. Camillus Health Clinic, Screven County Health Department, Screven County Hospital Outreach, Screven County Library and Senior Companion Program.

Other local agencies may be added before the Thursday event.

Door prizes also will be given out to individuals who attend.
